The 2018-19 KER Regional Summits took place in 6 cities across India and saw participation from a total of 840 educators and 1036 students! Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai organised their own unique KER Summits through which they captured the spirit of the student leaders in their cities.
Cities like Mumbai and Chennai focused on celebrating the stories and voices of their student leaders, whereas Ahmedabad and Hyderabad had themes that delved into the KER Principles and what they could look like in action. Pune on the other hand, explored the theme of ‘A Reimagined Day in School’ and took the participants through sessions that reimagined all the typical parts of a normal day in school.
Delhi decided to take a different route and instead of a one-day Regional Summit, they hosted their version of KER Week in December 2018 where influencers and educators were invited into classrooms across the city to listen to what the students had to say about the education system.
All the initiatives by the 7 cities culminated into the 2019 National Summit which was held in Mumbai from 4th to 10th February.
